Iarnrod eireann (ie) has a requirement for consultancy services to produce a business case in respect of a proposed new national train control centre. The new national train control centre will provide a modular, fully integrated traffic management system, with the eventual capability to re-control all existing signalling on the ie network and to be scalable to allow for future resignalling projects to be taken under the control of the national train control centre. In summary, the scope for the assignment requires consultancy expertise covering two key areas: (i) industry wide technical knowledge and expertise in train control, command and signalling systems, in particular railway traffic management systems for centralised control centres. (ii) business case including cost benefit analysis (cba) to public spending code (psc) guidelines. Consultants must have a proven track record, preferably in the railway industry, of successfully undertaking and delivering business cases of a similar nature, scale and complexity to that required for these works. The services will commence in april 2016 and must be completed by july 2016. Interested candidates are required to download, complete and return the attached pre qualification questionnaire.
