Overview:

UNDP, through various initiatives, intends to continue contributing to improve the knowledge and legitimacy of democracy in the country; generate dialogue and debate on weaknesses and strengths of democracy seeking reform proposals (where necessary) technically sound or seeking agreements to select proposals where there are multiple options that allow their political viability and also improve the dialogue between the academic world and the political actors from the entire ideological spectrum.

More specifically, UNDP has been developing since 2008 the National Survey of Public Opinion "Audit of Democracy". Its objective is to be a barometer of national public opinion, mainly in terms of the levels of support for Chilean democracy and the way in which citizens evaluate different aspects of it, such as institutionality, governance and participation. politics and citizen.

The four previous versions (2008, 2010, 2012 and 2016) served as input for the various initiatives that UNDP carries out in Chile. One of these is the "Audit of Democracy" Report . Specific objectives

2. Collect data, at a national level, through individual face-to-face surveys in households based on a structured questionnaire.

3. Ensure strict compliance to the sample design, guaranteeing rigorousness in the process of data collection.

4. To have a report of the results of descriptive statistics of the variables, and a presentation with comparative results.

Regarding the products, three reports are expected: one for installation, one for progress, and one final report. In addition, weekly reports on the progress of field work during execution are expected.

Pollster's manual and definitive work plan for pollsters and coordinators training.
Definition of activities linked to Pretest.
Specification of the survey monitoring procedure.
Progress report

Audiovisual record of interviews conducted in pretest.
Pretest results.
Final version of the diagrammed questionnaire and the Surveyor's Manual based on the results of the pretest. Both files in Word and pdf format.
Programming of training sessions for surveyors
Proposal of analysis plan and model of report of frequency table, contingency tables and charts, with the results of each variable, crosses and statistics of significance, in Excel format.
Final report
