Tender Details

The Ministry of Innovation and National Development (the “Ministry”) intends to establish a reliable, secure and centrally managed public WiFi network across selected public parks throughout The Bahamas. The initiative is intended to expand access to affordable and reliable internet connectivity, support digital inclusion, facilitate access to Government services, education and economic opportunities, and establish a scalable digital infrastructure platform within public spaces.The proposed initiative contemplates the deployment of WiFi infrastructure across 200 public parks throughout The Bahamas. The network is to be standardized across locations while allowing for site-specific requirements based on park size, geography, existing infrastructure, power availability and available telecommunications services. The technical solution is expected to provide centrally managed connectivity across all participating locations, allowing the Ministry to monitor network health, device status, connectivity, usage and alerts remotely.
