The Home Office is conducting a procurement of a National Automated Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) Service Application and Associated Services (the 'NAS Application'). ANPR is a vital law enforcement capability used to detect and disrupt criminal activity, protect vulnerable individuals, and support national security efforts. The National ANPR Service (NAS) provides nationwide functionality to policing and law enforcement agencies and processes high volumes of ANPR data to enable vehicle journey analysis, alerting and evidential use. Around 100 million ANPR reads a day are sent to the NAS providing vehicle journey search, alerting and evidential export functionality to policing and law enforcement agencies across England, Wales, and Scotland. The future NAS Application must be capable of managing high-volume, high-demand operations while ensuring data security and privacy. The requirement is for a commercially available ANPR application, configured and integrated to meet the Authority's business requirements, together with associated implementation, integration, service management and support services. The solution will be required to operate within the Authority's technical environment, including integration with the National Strategic ANPR Platform (NSAP), which provides core ANPR data services including read collection, search functionality and alerting.
