Tender Details
The proposed scheme is located in County Westmeath, along the N52 between Delvin and Clonmellon. The site extents are shown within the contract drawing in Appendix A. The area to be surveyed is 210 hectares. AtkinsRéalis, acting on behalf of Westmeath County Council (WMCC) require a topographical survey including a LiDAR survey to enable a detailed assessment of the existing features at the locations identified on the Contract drawings included in Appendix A. An accurate and detailed survey of the existing surface and sub-surface services is required. The purpose of this document is to provide specification requirements for the survey works. WMCC requires a suitably qualified survey contractor to undertake: 1. Topographical survey of the survey area (as shown in Appendix A). 2. Aerial photography capture of the full survey area (as shown in Appendix A). 3. High-resolution orthophotography production. 4. LiDAR survey suitable for archaeological assessment of the full survey area (as shown in Appendix A), including production of raw and classified point cloud data, DSM, DTM, contours and associated metadata. The purpose of the survey is to provide accurate, controlled and quality-assured spatial data suitable for engineering design and archaeological assessment. The LiDAR data shall be processed to produce a high-quality bare-earth Digital Terrain Model capable of representing and emphasizing microtopography, including low-relief archaeological earthworks and features potentially obscured by vegetation.
