About the Program:Stonnington Youth Services are looking for a visual mural/street artist to facilitate a group program alongside young people from across the City of Stonnington. The purpose of this program is to provide opportunities for young people to experience mentorship from a professional artist, build and develop visual art skills and connect to community and show case the talents of young people in the City of Stonnington. This program involves a series of workshops, co-designing a mural that generates awareness of a theme/ social justice topic which will be identified by the group, and encouraging young people to connect to their community.Photos of the mural location are attached, and artists should include the cost of materials in their response.Program Structure:This program will take place over a week in the April holidays.April 1st and 2nd Workshops 1&2 - Skill BuildingApril 3rd and 4th Workshops 3&4 - Mural Design & Integrating FeedbackApril 5th - Mural Installation Paint DayThe program will end with a community activation/event where community members are invited to come along and view the mural, learn more about the project and celebrate the achievements of the group.
