The objective is to provide farmers with information about how to achieve the best planting results and subsequent crop yield following grain corn, which produces large amounts of crop residue. A shredder is needed that lifts fallen corn residue and shred all residue to a size that facilitates tillage operations and promotes residue decomposition in a semi-arid area with cold, dry winters.
