Tender Details

The Australia Kiribati Climate Security Initiative (AKCSI) is a project initiated by the Government of Australia, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) to address the need for enhancing coastal resilience in Kiribati. The objective of AKCSI is to implement high-quality, GEDSI-sensitive, inclusive and resilient coastal protection solutions, and to improve the resilience of Kiribati to the impacts of climate change. As part of the project activities, there is a need to conduct a multi-criteria cost-benefit analysis of the different coastal protection solutions for Kiribati.Under this background, UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre is implementing “A cost-benefit analysis for Australia - Kiribati Climate Security Initiative”. The objective of the project is to assist the AKCSI in carrying out a multi-criteria cost-benefit analysis of the proposed adaptation solutions for three selected sites in Kiribati. The project needs support from the ground in involving the stakeholders in performing the cost-benefit analysis.
