As part of the MP 3514 project, existing multi-field area covers of assembly openings in the sewer system between St.-Alban-Rheinweg and ARA Kleinhüningen will be repaired or replaced with permanent reinforced concrete structures. The basis is one Condition inspection during which corrosion damage was discovered on the steel beam supports. The aim of the project is to restore the load-bearing stability, durability and operational safety of the affected shaft structures as well as to reduce the future maintenance costs. In particular, the partial removal of the existing multi-field covers and the conversion to permanently low-maintenance manholes are planned.
