bc hydro is seeking a primary and secondary service provider to supply materials, well-maintained tools and mechanical equipment (e.g. Flail-mowers, weed-whackers and chainsaws etc.) and qualified and experienced labour to mow grass and maintain vegetation at over 60 bc hydro sites throughout the lower mainland region.

the foundation of this work is maintaining sites which grow tall grass, e.g. Reed canary grass and other species, i.e. Himalayan blackberry and miscellaneous, small native shrubs.

desired date for services to commence is anticipated to be september 2019.

the contract is expected to be for an initial term of two (2) years, which may be extended for up to three (3) year(s) through one or more contract extensions, for a potential total term of five (5) years.

this procurement may involve negotiation.

this opportunity is subject to chapter 5 of the canadian free trade agreement.
