Description

The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Natick Division in support of the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) intends to award a Firm Fixed Price contract on a sole source basis to Qualisys North America, Inc., located at 1603 Barclay Blvd, Buffalo Grove, Illinois 60089-4544, under the authority as prescribed in 41 United States Code 1901 as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation 13.501(a)(1)(ii).

The requirement is for the purchase of a motion capture camera system to include Arqus 26 Standard, Arqus 12 Standard, Arqus 9 Wide, and Miqus Hybrid Standard Lens cameras, as well as the requisite connection equipment, which includes computing devices, marker devices, mounting devices, and software. Support services, installation, and training are also required. Qualisys is the only known motion capture company that can seamlessly integrate with DEVCOM SC-s and the US Army Research Institute of Environmental Medicine-s (USARIEM) currently owned Qualisys motion capture cameras (Arqus, Miqus Hybrid, Oqus), data collection systems, and software (Qualisys Track Manager and Visual 3D) and, thereby, ensure consistency of motion capture data format, quality, validity, and specialty processes/standards within the DEVCOM SC laboratory, the USARIEM laboratory, and the new laboratory within the Soldier and Squad Performance Research Institute (S2PRINT) facility. The required motion capture cameras and support hardware and software need to sync and be operational with our current established fleet of Qualisys motion capture cameras. Use of non-Qualisys equipment in conjunction with the laboratories- existing equipment will necessitate repeated construction of conversion algorithms and use of unsynchronized data streams.
