Mosquito control expert activity Among the objectives of the mosquito control program defined by the tenderer is that the current multi-stakeholder task performance (district municipalities and the BM National Disaster Management Directorate General) be done uniformly within the framework of the system and coordinated by the contracting authority. With regard to the current segmented performance of tasks, the contracting authority requested data from the relevant actors for the last 3 years, during the processing of which the last 3 years chemical treatment was carried out on an average of 34, 293 hectares (in 2024 it was 51, 196 hectares). The primary goal of the Metropolitan Municipality's mosquito abatement program is to use biological abatement while protecting the environment, so if the conditions and the circumstances allow, then biological mitigation must be ensured in the administrative area of the capital city of Budapest - approximately 52, 000 hectares. Of this amount, the 5, 000 hectares prescribed as eligibility requirements are less than 10%.
