HUS has at its disposal the Moodle learning environment produced as open source code, to which various suppliers have made HUS's desired customizations, configurations and integrations with other systems (e.g. user management). Supplements made as open source code have also been added to this implementationeons.

At HUS, the total number of users of the Moodle learning environment is currently around 65, 000 users. However, there are only about 49, 000 active users. There are currently about 250 active training courses in HUS's Moodle, and there are about 200 test courses for educational purposes.About 24, 000 copies have been made in Moodle in 2022.

HUS Moodle learning environment is installed in the server environment of the current supplier, which has separate development, test and production environments. We receive a service from the supplier that consists of expert work and continuous services includede.g. the following:

-the technical operating environment of the learning environment with its interfaces for the implemented integrations and the necessary capacity services (user services)

-the support of users (disturbance management, guidance and service requests)

-version updates and other maintenance actions (change management)

-various functional development tasks and training (other expert work).

HUS tenders the continuous services of the Moodle learning environment.

The object of the procurement is therefore:

- Continuous services described in the service description and possible specialist work that can be ordered separately.
