Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist (ICCAS)
Deadline: 24-Mar-2016 11:39
Time zone: (GMT -4.00) Atlantic Time (Canada), Caracas, La Paz
Description:
The Programme on Integrated Climate Change Adaptation Strategies (ICCAS) is being co-implemented by UNDP and GIZ. The overarching objective of the ICCAS Programme is to increase resilience of vulnerable communities and ecosystems to climate change risks in Grenada through integrated adaptation approaches. The Programme targets government, including its sectorial agencies, and communities already being impacted by climate change. These sectors and communities suffer from droughts and other extreme events associated with climate change. Communities will also benefit from improved services associated with stronger national institutions and service providers.
UNDP will realize the operationalization of the Community Climate Change Adaptation Fund in order to strengthen adaptive capacities through community-based initiatives; and share knowledge and experiences from the Programme to improve understanding and awareness of Climate Change risks and adaptation measures. The community-based adaptation initiatives are being implemented through a small-grants mechanism oriented to projects principally related to agriculture and land use, fisheries and marine resources, coastal protection and water resources management.
UNDP-ICCAS is seeking to recruit the services of a Monitoring and Evaluation (M+E) Specialist to fully develop and implement an existing M+E framework for the ICCAS Community Climate Change Adaptation Projects for 90 days.
The time engagement to deliver the duties and responsibilities listed is estimated 90 days spread through the project implementation projected for April 2017. The specific tasks and their exact schedule will be planned and agreed with the consultant on a quarterly basis, aligned with project work plans, monitoring and reporting needs. The consultant is expected to keep a time sheet and fees will be paid along these records approved by Project Coordinator, according to the daily fee agreed, on a quarterly/monthly base. The overall time engagement might be extended, on a needs base as project implementation evolves.
