SCOPE OF WORK - 9725 78 Ave. Peace River, AB, Unit # 126 This unit has active mold, proper PPE, respirator and goggles need to be worn to ensure that nobody gets health issues during and after renovation of unit. Complete removal of furniture upstairs and downstairs to be disposed of properly. Clean affected areas with mold solution to kill mold before removal of drywall and carpet. Use air purifiers with HEPA filters; let them run for a week to remove mold and bacteria. Don-t work while air purifiers are on, HEPA filters may cause air to become dry and some HEPA filters may produce ozone, which is an unhealthy gas that can irritate the lungs. Air quality test needs to be done after treating mold. In preparation for the demolition the contractor should take samples and test for the presence of asbestos in flooring under carpet and under flooring (laminate and vinyl), in the unit. The test shall be done by a certified testing laboratory. The bid should include the removal and disposal of asbestos containing/contaminated materials to expedite the demolition. It is the responsibility of the contractor to inspect the site to familiarize themselves with the procedures that need to be taken and understand the scope of work in detail before submitting your bids (proposal).
