This Request for Proposal is for the provision of two Mobile Cargo Non-Intrusive Inspection (NII) Systems and ongoing maintenance services for systems. These systems will utilise backscatter technology or similar, be completely mobile and enable Customs officers to safely, quickly and accurately identify manifested goods and recognise anomalies such as concealed narcotics, explosives and other prohibited goods.
Customs requires a solution that can assist in quickly, safely, and accurately providing information to officers to make a decision on the next course of action - to further detain or release. The solution needs to be mobile, manoeuvrable, easy to operate, fast, accurate and safe.
