Mitholz project: Clearance of former ammunition depot, mandate general planner interim use of facility TP 2 During the Second World War, an underground military ammunition storage facility was built in Mitholz BE. In 1947, some of the stored ammunition exploded. The risk assessment of the remaining ammunition depot carried out at the time was classified as uncritical. New risk assessments from 2018 and 2020 have shown a higher risk than previously assumed. On December 4th, 2020, the Federal Council... It was decided to clear the former ammunition storage facility and an expanded project organization was commissioned to plan and project the corresponding work. With this tender the mandate becomes general planner for temporary use of the facility Buildings and structural support were procured within the subproject TP 2. The desired representative will take on the role of general planner for demolitions, renovations and conversions so that the existing underground system meets the requirements of the future ammunition disposal processes.
