The mission of the Department of Defense (DoD) Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Libraries is to support military personnel assigned to contingency operations, remote sites, and military missions in accordance with DoDI 1015.10, Military Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Programs. To support mission readiness, voluntary education, and quality of life, DoD Libraries require a subscription to The Miss Humblebee's Academy.
The Department of the Air Force Library Program requires an on-line kindergarten readiness program. Miss Humblebee's Academy is a fun, interactive on-line kindergarten readiness program for children that presents learning concepts based on the U.S. Department of Education, Head Start Child Development, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, and other education-based organizations. It includes hundreds of guided lessons with sound and visual cues across many disciplines including Art, Language & Literacy, Math, Music, and Science & Social Studies.
