The Ministry of Finance (“MoF”) responsibility, among other things, encompasses the purchasing of vehicles for use by selected public officers in executing their duties. In managing the fleet of vehicles, the Ministry of Finance ensures that these vehicles are roadworthy, through regular maintenance, are inspected yearly by the relevant government entity, and, equally important, have insurance coverage by a private entity to operate on the road network of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The Ministry of Finance wishes to procure vehicle insurance (3rd party coverage) to permit the use of government-registered vehicles on roads throughout the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.
