ITEM DESCRIPTION- Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane has a requirement for This procurement is for the purchase of the following components for the Envision Miniature Advanced Rangefinder Systems (MARS) in support of PMS-NSW and USSOCOM Visual Multimedia and Graphics Office assets.

A quantity of 30 Battery Cap Assembly, O-Ring and Strap Part Number MAR-8006-SPR
SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT- The proposed contract action is for the supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with one source only Envision Technology LLC of Manchester, New Hampshire, Cage Code 8EDV1, under the authority of FAR 12.201-1 for Commercial items with simplified procedures. This is being solicited on a sole source only basis because The Envision Miniature Advanced Rangefinder System is an ultra-compact, weapon-mounted laser rangefinder and aiming illumination systems used in tactical and long-range shooting. This unit is used in military, law enforcement, and precision shooting environments and sold in substantial quantities, thus qualify as a commercial item. The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Envision Technology LLC of Manchester, New Hampshire, Cage Code 8EDV1, has proprietary rights to data, design, and manufacturing of the equipment and is not willing to provide the Government with a technical data package in order to obtain specifications or re-engineer the system.
