Set-asides, if applicable: The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Acquisitions and Grants Office, Western Acquisition Division-Seattle Simplified Acquisitions Branch, intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order, on a sole source basis, under the authority of RFO FAR 12.102(a) and 41 U.S.C. 1901, with MilliporeSigma to repair or replace the currently inoperable Milli-Q water purification system (FOB Destination to Santa Cruz, CA). The proposed contract action is unrestricted.

3. Description:
(i) The requirement is for a replacement for the currently inoperable Milli-Q water purification system, a high-quality ultrapure water purification system to support ongoing and future research needs. Ultrapure water is critical for sensitive laboratory applications such as HPLC/UHPLC, IC, elemental analysis, cell/molecular biology, and biochemistry to ensure accurate results in fisheries ecology, habitat assessment, and related environmental research. The contractor shall furnish, deliver, install, and commission one (1) Milli-Q® EQ 7000 ultrapure water purification system, including all specified accessories, installation services, a multi-year preventive maintenance/service contract, and trade-in/removal of the existing non-operable Milli-Q water purification system;
