This is a Notice of Intent published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice of Intent is for a proposed award of a sole source, firm-fixed price contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 12.201-1. It is not a request for competitive quotes.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 23, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract to Monument Health Rapid City Hospital, Inc. with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 12.102-Restricting Competition because they are the only vendor located in the geographic area able to meet the requirements set forth in the statement of work. Monument Health is the only hospital with the proper certifications, facilities, and availability to accomplish testing in the timelines required within the statement of work on a consistent, guaranteed basis. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 621511 and the product/service code is Q301.
While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement. Interested firms with the capability of providing the requirement shall submit capability statements so the Government can determine the firm s experience and capability to provide the requirements. Failure to demonstrate the capability of providing the requirement in response to this market survey may affect the Government s review of the industry s ability to perform or provide these requirements.
