***THE NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION-S (NOAA) ACQUISITION & GRANTS OFFICE, WESTERN ACQUISITION DIVISION-BOULDER, OCEANIC & ATMOSPHERIC RESEARCH (OAR), PACIFIC MARINE ENVIRONMENTAL LABORATORY (PMEL), INTENDS TO NEGOTIATE AND AWARD A PURCHASE ORDER, ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS, UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.103-1, WITH METEOMATICS AG OUT OF SWITZERLAND FOR METEODRONE MM-670M TRAINING AND EXTENDED WARRANTIES ON THESE SYSTEMS. TRAINING TO BE HELD IN POHNPEI, FSM. NO SET ASIDE IS TO BE USED FOR THIS SOLE SOURCE REQUIREMENT. THE ASSOCIATED NAICS CODE IS 611512.
THE SOLE SOURCE DETERMINATION IS BASED ON NOAA-S REQUIREMENT THAT THAT METEOMATICS AG IS THE ONLY VENDOR THAT PROVIDES TRAINING AND ANY EXTENDED WARRANTIES ON IT-S MM-670M METEODRONE. THIS DRONE WAS PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED DUE TO IT-S HIGHLY SPECIALIZED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS. THEY HAVE ALREADY BEEN APPROVED FROM THE UNCREWED AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS DIVISION (UASD) AND MEET NOAA AIRWORTHINESS AND OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS. THESE DRONES ARE IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE FEDERAL CYBER SECURITY AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY POLICIES INCLUDING SEC. 205 OF THE CYBER SECURITY INFORMATION SHARING ACT OF 2015, OMB CIRCULAR 1-130, NIST SP 800-38 AND NAO 212-13 NOAA INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SECURITY POLICY.
TRAINING TO BE PROVIDED NO LATER THAN 8/31/2026. 2 YEARS OF EXTENDED WARRANTY ENDING ON 12/31/2028.
