“Metals and Metalloids Seminar: Preliminary Surveillance The Regional Ministerial Secretariat of Health of the Coquimbo Region requires the hiring of specialized services for the execution of the Metals and Metalloids Seminar: Surveillance, Prevention and Health Occupational. Three years after the protocol, the progress, gaps and challenges for its effective implementation will be analyzed from regional experience. Present to the target audience the current regulatory framework associated with exposure to metals and metalloids in the workplaces, delving into the technical aspects of environmental surveillance and the health of exposed workers, allowing for the critical evaluation of current gaps and challenges to strengthen the implementation of the Safety Protocol. Occupational Surveillance for Exposure to Metals and Metalloids, approved by Resolution NO6062023 of the Ministry of Health, whose objective is to standardize procedures for the early detection of toxic effects and the control of environmental risks in the workplaces for specific agents such as Arsenic, Cadmium, Chromium VI, Mercury, Manganese and inorganic Lead.
