Tender Details

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) is requesting proposals for professional videographer and/or documentary filmmaker services for the Culturally Responsive Arts Education (CRAE) program. The Culturally Responsive Arts Education program is designed to provide support to improve quality and equity in arts education throughout the state. From June 2023 through September 2026, a Professional Learning + Action Cohort made up of teachers, administrators, and district leaders will engage in ongoing professional learning, culminating in the development and implementation of local Pilot Action Initiatives at the classroom, school and/or district levels. These Pilot Action Initiatives will each be unique, responding to local needs and opportunities to increase equity in arts education, and may include but are not limited to professional development, curriculum development, new course development, and other actions that could affect changes to the classroom, school, and/or district level. The program is funded by a U.S. Department of Education Assistance for Arts Education grant (grant) and is led by the MDE Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Center. The Responder awarded a contract (Contractor) will be expected to produce six (6) total work products, including the creation of three (3) video case-studies and three (3) shorter versions of each case-study. Each case study will tell the story of a different local Pilot Action Initiative, including findings and highlights, for public dissemination on MDE-s website and in professional development settings. MDE is only accepting proposals through SWIFT. Responders Should Contact the Swift Helpdesk 651-201-8100, Option #1 if SWIFT assistance is needed.
