Detailed_Description : The Ministry of Natural Resources is issuing a Request for Bid (RFB) for Construction Services for McConnell Lake Road Upgrades.
Scope of Work : The project scope includes granular resurfacing approximately 13 kilometer of McConnell Lake Road, starting at Highway 63, with additional Granular A material, grading and compaction, as well as targeted bedrock removal.The work requires removal and disposal of exposed bedrock that protrudes above or near the finished road surface and presents a hazard to vehicular traffic through the 13 kilometer road section. A subsection of the road requires rock to be removed to allow for a ditch to be constructed.All Work shall be completed in accordance with Schedule 1 - Work Requirements (part of Attachment 2-Form of Agreement) and applicable OPSS and OPSD standards. The intent of this Work is to ensure the continued safe use of the road by both public and commercial traffic.Additional gravel placement and grading beyond the initial 13 kilometer section may be required on an as-needed basis.Unit rates shall remain fixed for the duration of the Contract.Substantial contract work is required to be completed by October 30, 2026, and the project should be fully completed by November 27, 2026.
