Overview:
The redevelopments of Nelson Hospital and Whangārei Hospitals are being delivered by the Ministry of Health (the ‘Ministry-), through the Health Infrastructure Unit, on behalf of the Nelson Marlborough and Northland District Health Boards (‘DHB-).
To support the development of the Detailed Business Cases and procurement strategies, the Ministry will be conducting market engagement with interested suppliers commencing in February 2022.
This is an opportunity to be involved in the delivery of two regionally significant health infrastructure projects that comprise the first tranche of the wider Regional Hospital Redevelopment Programme. Both new facilities will contribute to a modern healthcare system capable of addressing the needs of the Nelson Marlborough and Northland regions for the next 40-50 years, while also meeting stringent sustainability and seismic guidelines required in such facilities.
