Stavanger municipality has decided to acquire a comprehensive and user-friendly solution for handling chemicals. In addition, Stavanger municipality is considering acquiring an exposure register. The municipality needs a solution that can take care of the following: The system must have a substance index, risk assessment, archiving option and substitution assessment that covers the applicable legislation and guidelines (cf. Arbeidstilsynet's regulations: Regulations on the execution of work (arbeidstilsynet.no), Second part chapters 2 and 3, Fifth part chapter 31). Module for exposure registration that covers current legislation and guidelines (cf. Arbeidstilsynet's regulations: Regulations on the execution of work (arbeidstilsynet.no) chapter 31). The aim is to establish a comprehensive and user-friendly solution that gives the municipality of Stavanger a better overview and control over chemicals, risk assessments, safety data sheets, substitution assessments and possible exposure registration. The solution will contribute to safe chemical handling, easier access to necessary HSE information and better compliance with current legal requirements.
