The Healthcare Institute is working on behalf of the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport on a Future-proof Medicines System (hereinafter TSG) for the influx of new medicines into the insured package. To achieve the goals of the TSG, the efforts of a information management system (hereinafter IMS) is a prerequisite. An IMS helps the Healthcare Institute and other parties involved with information collection and collaboration during the various steps of the intake process. There is a functional design made for the IMS. To realize the IMS, the next step is to work towards a European public tender. The Healthcare Institute has decided to do this within the framework of open standards and European suppliers. This is in line with the vision for an autonomous and sovereign digital government. The reason for this market consultation is that the Open Source theme is not yet sufficiently known and developed for the Healthcare Institute. We want to better understand the possibilities, risks and... preconditions exist in the market, so that we can make a well-considered choice for the further design of our needs. By entering into discussions with market parties, we gain insight into available solutions, best practices and relevant ones developments, which helps us to formulate our question more clearly and determine which approach best suits our organization.
