Since the Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 14, 2022, millions of Ukrainians have fled. Some of them have sought protection in the Netherlands. The municipality of Eindhoven was given the task from the government to compensate for more than 1, 500 Ukrainian displaced persons. Spread over 12 central Reception locations and 60 homes have been realized in recent years.
It also requires good guidance, support and supervision - so that residents feel safe and a livable living climate is created. The Ministry of Justice and Security have laid down in the Naslagwerk Municipal Reception Okrainians (GOO) how this daycare is ideally set up. The municipality of Eindhoven follows this line and sees social and facility management as an essential part of its approach.
