Procedure: Processing type: Urgent Justification for urgent processing: The need for urgent processing is justified by the fact that the previous contractor company will no longer provide the shipping service, and as it is a service essential for any port, we cannot wait for the ordinary processing of the file, since the Port of Mataró would be left with the maritime service discovered. In order to prevent this from happening, a minor contract file has been processed to cover the service temporarily for fifteen days or three weeks, and a new seafaring service file must be processed to cover the service until the end of 2026. Therefore, the processing of the file via the urgent route is fully justified, for non-deferrable needs of the provision of the seafaring service, in application of what is established in article 119 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on public sector contracts.
