Mapping flood risk in Øvre Eiker municipality The municipality has been promised support from NVE for mapping the flood risk in relation to flooding in the Drammenselva. The municipality is therefore holding a competition for assistance for this work. NVE has carried out flood calculations for The Drammenselva with indication of elevations and areas affected by flooding for various flood intervals. This flood calculation is used as the basis for the works. Frogneskroken by Norconsult. For the sub-area of Frognes, these documents form the basis of the works. The purpose of the mapping of flood risk is to provide NVE and the municipality with a sufficient basis to be able to assess any application for the implementation of flood protection measures. For this, knowledge is needed about the cost/benefit of any measures. It must therefore be mapped what is damaged by flooding, how it can be secured and what this will cost. The assignment must begin no later than 31 August 2026. The work must be documented with a report attachment. Draft of the completed report must be delivered by 31 August 2026. The final report must be delivered by December 2027.
