Description

The National Institutes of Health, Office of Nutrition Research intends to negotiate on a sole source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, with BioCentric, LLC located at 13042 BlackBird Place, Fairfax, Virginia 22033

The National Institutes of Health, is seeking a contractor to provide medical writing and manuscript preparation and publication services. The Contractor shall work independently, and not as an agent of the Government to furnish services, qualified personnel, material, equipment, and facilities not otherwise provided by the Government. This contract will be for a follow on of an existing contract for a base year plus two option years. The Contractor will provide the following services:

Coordinating with ONR authors and their co-authors; Assisting with writing, editing, and formatting manuscripts; Developing biomedical illustrations/graphics, tables, and figures; Identifying appropriate journals for manuscript submission; Liaising with journals including journal submissions, obtaining, and responding to journal inquires, and paying journal fees; and Ad hoc publication support including literature searches, development of abstracts, poster presentations, and oral presentations.

For manuscript support, the Contractor will provide the following services:

Assist in manuscript preparation for journal submission including: Proof-reading for content and editorial consistency; Formatting each review in appropriate journal style; Developing graphics, figures, charts, graphs, and tables as needed; and Including all references in the appropriate style via appropriate software (e.g., Endnote).
