Description of the provision: The object of this specification is the definition of the technical prescriptions that must govern the procurement of the manufacture and supply of the contactless cards that serve as the physical container of the ATM transport tickets in the field of the tariff system integrated of the Lleida Area. In order to improve the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the existing public transport network, the ATM implemented in 2008 in the territorial scope of the Lleida Area, the tariff integration project, technologically based on the use of cards with chip and contactless communications as physical support for the multi-trip transport tickets offered by the ATM and valid for all public transport operators adhering to the system. The operation of the equipment and systems that make up the technological basis of the Area's integrated tariff system of Lleida are based on a set of technical specifications which, in the particular case concerned, specify the type of cards and the technical conditions for their issuance.
