The u.s. Army corps of engineers, new england district is issuing a set aside for certified small business contractors for the construction of the electrical upgrades project, located at the mansfield hollow dam, in mansfield center, connecticut. The naics code for the work described below is 238210. The project is planned to be issued in august, 2018, and will be set aside for small businesses. The construction will extend over a one-month period occurring in the fall of 2018. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $100, 000 and $250, 000. Any responsible source meeting this standard may submit a quote to be considered by the new england district.
The location of work to be performed under this contract shall be at the mansfield dam, located in mansfield center, connecticut.
This project consists of the following components:
-subcontract to utility to replace pole, transformers, and conductors to meter socket.
-replace meter socket.
-replace service entrance disconnect.
-demolish existing switchboard.
-provide double throw safety switch.
-provide panelboard dp-1 and feed existing branch circuits from new panelboard.
-convert panel p1 to a junction box and feed existing loads from dp-1.
-demolish (2) existing hydraulic pump motors and associated starters.
-provide (2) new hydraulic pump motors.
-provide (2) reduced voltage combination starter/disconnect for hydraulic pump motors.
-replace the gray panel "p2" located in the lower gallery of the gatehouse with a damp-rated panelboard. Make sure that the new panel is mounted with a 1/4 inch gap between the panel and the wall.
-replace all branch circuit wiring from the panelboard "p2" in the gatehouse to the first device in each circuit.
