The Experimental Surgery Facility (ESF) is a fully equipped high-tech facility that enables researchers to carry out short and long-term surgical experimental studies on gross animals. The ESF is one of the few centers in Switzerland, which, thanks to the existing infrastructure and the multidisciplinary competencies of the team of eight employees, enables research on large animals with cardiovascular models., The ESF in cooperation with the Hybrid Catheter Lab of the Act-Inno of the Insel Group Bern is striving for certification of the GLP quality label.
