The Experimental Surgery Facility (ESF) is a fully equipped, high-tech facility that enables researchers to conduct short- and long-term surgical experimental studies on large animals. The ESF is one of the few centers in Switzerland which, thanks to the existing infrastructureture and the multidisciplinary skills of the team of a total of eight employees, research on large animals with cardiovascular-demanding models is made possible. In order to be able to carry out preclinical studies, particularly in the medical sector, in accordance with Swissmedic's specifications, the ESF aims to:Collaboration with the Hybrid Catheter Lab of Act-Inno of the Insel Gruppe Bern to certify the GLP quality label. The ESF-Hybrid needs CathLa to develop these standards and implement the measures on an organizational, process-related and technical level up to certificationb Support from a specialized GLP quality consultant.
