Tender Details

Providing breast cancer screening services based on mammography for all customers participating in the screening living in the Etela-Savo welfare area. The screening must be organized in Mikkeli, Pieksamaki and Savonlinna.

The screening will start in stages as follows:

1. Mikkeli region (Mikkeli, Hirvensalmi, Puumala, Pertunmaa, Mantyharju, Kangasniemi, Juva): start in 2024.

2. City of Pieksamaki: start in 2025.

3. Savonlinna region (Savonlinna, Enonkoski, Rantasalmi, Sulkava): start in 2025.

The person performing the screening mammography examination must be a licensed radiologisttaja and must have sufficient competence (including radiation protection training) and continuous experience in mammography examinations as well as good oral and written Finnish language skills.

The examinations must be performed by two radiology specialists, of which

1. both must have the right of a specialistet in Finland,

2. both must have experience in clinical mammograms and screening mammograms

3. at least one of them must have a special qualification in screening mammography.i should not be optimized for mammography screening.

Screening should be organized in Mikkeli, Pieksamaki and Savonlinna. If the screening examinations are produced with a mobile screening cart, the service provider must arrange for the cart all the services it needs, incl. barrier-free access, parking, movement...
