The Municipality of The Hague (GDH) and the Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland (HHD) (hereinafter: Contracting Authority(s) / Client(s)) are jointly responsible for the regular and extraordinary maintenance of the waters within the municipal boundaries of The Hague and have a shared responsibility in this respect. In urban areas, dThe water chain and the water system are closely intertwined. In addition, amenity value plays a greater role in an urban environment than in a rural area and there are more often physical obstacles in the waterways. People live, work and recreate in the city and live with water. Water increases thequality of the living environment, in which the visibility and amenity value of urban water for citizens is important.
By means of this Tendering Procedure, the Contracting Parties wish to contract one Contractor to carry out the maintenance of the watercourses within the municipal boundaries of Den Haag.
