One of the essential activities of the Internal Dosimetry Service, integrated into the Radiation Dosimetry Unit of the Department of the Environment, consists of the measurement of internal radiation for radiological protection purposes. These measurements are made both directly (CRC Laboratory) as indirect (bioelimination laboratory).
To guarantee the quality and continuity of these activities, the Service has different equipment, which must be maintained in perfect operating conditions, both inside and outside the Center.
In compliance of the guidelines of the Nuclear Safety Council, it is essential to hire a specialized maintenance service that ensures the correct operation, calibration and verification of the equipment. The provision of the service may be carried out by companies with accredited technical capacity. and experience in maintenance of equipment of these characteristics.
