There are 2 categories of ILS operation in France. Category 1 operation for most of them, and category 3 operation for all those installed at airports which require so-called access. all time. These are Roissy CDG, Orly, Lille, Beauvais, Strasbourg, Metz-Nancy-Lorraine, Basel-Mulhouse, Brest, Nantes, Lyon, Clermont-Ferrand, Limoges, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Pau, Marseille, St Pierre and Miquelon. To each of these ILS, operated in category 3, is associated in France with State Panel (PE) equipment. The objective of this market is to ensure MCO, to process updates following future ILS/DME installations as well as manage obsolescence on the current status panel.
