Overview:
Owhata School are seeking a fixed price Construction Contract to carry out Weathertightness Remediation and Classroom Internal Modernisation with funding allocated from the Weathertightness Budget and Accelerated Modernisation Scheme (AMS).The following scope has pre-approval from the Ministry of Education (MoE) subject to meeting budget allocations.
Owhata School is requiring a refurbishment to Block G implementing Innovative Learning environment principles to support the schools desire for flexible, open, and collaborative learning spaces. Currently, Block G consists of a computer suite, and teaching areas with a shared breakout space, and require redesign to support the school requirements.
The Weathertightness Remediation Inspection Report prepared by Prendos identified key elements that need to be addressed. These elements are roof defects (replacement of roof, guttering), moisture damage (wall cladding), and ensuring the building meets building code. Refer to Weathertightness Remediation Inspection report for more detail.
Owhata School are seeking a Main Contractor with proven expertise, experience and skills that can provide cost effective solutions to deliver:
• Removal and replacement of existing entire Block G cladding system
• Removal and replacement of existing roof
• A new outdoor learning space Internal classroom modernisation as per drawings
