Description
PROPOSERS DAY: The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Strategic Technology Office (STO) will host a Proposers Day in support of DARPA-PS-25-07, the Lunar Assay via Small Satellite Orbiter (LASSO) program on May 13th, 2025, at the Executive Conference Center (ECC) Chesapeake I & II, 4075 Wilson Blvd, Suite 300, Arlington, VA from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM (ET). For those who cannot attend in person, a webinar will provide a live stream of the events at the conference center. The purpose of this conference is to provide information on the LASSO program, promote additional discussion on this topic, address questions from potential proposers, and provide a forum for teaming opportunities. The Proposers Day will include overview presentations by DARPA personnel, other government partners and a Question & Answer (Q&A) session following the presentations. Unclassified questions and answers will be posted to SAM.gov at the conclusion of the event. The Proposers Day will be held at the Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) level. PROGRAM OBJECTIVE AND DESCRIPTION: The LASSO program aims to develop technologies to support significantly increasing the United States- (US) ability to conduct operations in support of space situational awareness by developing both autonomous satellite navigation in stressing orbital conditions and increasing satellite maneuverability through continuous dynamic repositioning based on changing conditions, with the added benefit of creating a proven reserve model for resources relevant to In-Situ Resource Utilization (ISRU) on Earth-s Moon. LASSO supposes that high resolution measurements of resources across the entire lunar surface is the most compelling commercial application to drive optimized performance in propulsion system and Guidance Navigation and Control (GNC) design. The program seeks performers to design, test, build, and deliver a spacecraft capable of determining all areas on the Moon that contain greater tha...
