UNICEF EARPO is seeking for a qualified institution/organization for the provision of Engaging industry towards ending childhood lead poisoning. BackgroundGlobally, considerable progress has been made in eliminating lead in fuels and paints. Several private sector companies in industries using lead have contributed significantly to these efforts in partnership with governments, United Nations agencies, scientists and affected communities. The paint industry has taken steps to eliminate lead in their products or to create operational processes that provide safe work environments for their employees.Yet, Lead is poisoning around one in three children globally on a massive and previously unrecognized scale. Lead poisoning is a major contributor to intellectual disability among children in low- and middle-income countries.
