The object of the procurement is the new construction of the children's daycare center Nihti in Helsinki's Kalasatama. The new building is planned to be realized as a 2-story, concrete structure and the facades will be clad in wood and brick. According to the planning documents, the premises of the daycare buildingthe area is 1693 gross square meters. In addition to the construction of the daycare building, the overall contract includes the construction of yard areas and a noise fence.
The site is a challenging location, as it is located in a dense residential area under construction, where ongoing construction projects and tiidiagonal traffic lanes must be taken into account during construction. The construction site is located on fill land, which requires piling and protecting the structures from the effects of groundwater. In addition, the maritime, humid and windy location of the site places demands on the building's weather resistanceunless. Sea level fluctuations must also be taken into account in order to achieve a safe construction height. The building permit for the site is being processed in the permit division on June 8, 2023.
