EPFL intends to purchase a set of dilution refrigerators for its SB-IPHYS Faculty Superconducting Quantum Information Laboratory (SQIL). The equipment will be used for cutting-edge research in the fields of superconducting quantum computing, including
•microwave spectroscopyof high-coherence superconducting qubits and low-temperature resonators.
•High-fidelity control of quantum logic operations on single qubits and networks of coupled qubits.
•Basic physics experiments with Josephson junction circuits, including the Sspectroscopy of bound quasiparticle states, quantum phase transitions and quantum electrodynamics.
