· Thematic expertise embracing the water topic in many of its facets such as the following topical areas: water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), transboundary and integrated water resources management, water governance and water diplomacy, (social) water entrepreneurship, water efficiency and effectiveness, rural and urban water supply, waste water treatment and reuse, groundwater and water pollution; · Knowledge of the respective underlying/guiding policies, strategies, concepts, principles, standards, state of the art approaches, trends, major technical tools and relevant (recent) literature related to the above-mentioned topical areas; · Familiarity with international frameworks, processes, bodies and key actors in the water sector such as the Agenda 2030 and the SDG 6, the international Decade for Water 2018-2028 and the related Dushanbe water process, UN Water, the World Water Forum (WWF), the annual Stockholm World Water Week (SWWW), the International Secretariat for Water (ISW), the Sanitation and Hygiene Fund (SHF), and the FDFA Guidelines on Water 2022-25
