Tenders are invited for Loop Heat Pipe Using Advanced Manufacturing (Re-Issue)
The main goal of this activity is to manufacture a Loop Heat Pipe (LHP) evaporator and compensation chamber, all in one piece. Porous and lattice structures are key elements to ensure evaporator operation and performance where the housing can be optimised to guaranty the mechanical strength of the structure and its performance.The proposed activity shall be focused on the following main challenges:Achieve a small primary wick pores size diameter with a relatively good porosity and permeability.The development of ade-powdering strategy especially for the vapour grooves, and compensation chamber.Achieve a low parasitic heat leak from the evaporator to the compensation chamber.
