Description : 1.The United Nations (UN) Secretariat is mandated to provide a variety of air charter services that ensure safe, reliable and cost effective air transportation in support of UN operations. The United Nations Procurement Division (UN/PD) is responsible for procurement of such air charter services in support of UN field missions, based on technical and operational requirements set forth by the UN Department of Field Support. 2. On behalf of the United Nations Mission in South Sudan in Khartoum (UNMISS), the United Nations Headquarters intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) that will result in one or more long term air charter agreement(s) for Specialized AME/SAR/NVG Rotary Wing Aircraft services for two years plus one optional year period (2+1) in support of UNMISS operations. 3. The proposed aircraft will be stationed at Torit, Bor, Bentiu, Rumbek and Aweil ( a minimum of five helicopters are envisaged for this requirement) without specifying registration marks for particular (MOBs) but for operational reasons the aircraft may be relocated to any other part of South Sudan 4. The operator shall provide the aircraft services mainly for Aeromedical Evacuation operations (CASEVAC & MEDEVAC) and Search and Rescue (SAR) and operating day and night (including NVG).
