The current state of the Colentina River and its related lakes located within Sector 2 requires their unclogging. The dredging/unclogging services are necessary due to the change in collection conditions (discharges of household water, collapse of slopes and storage of varioussaddles and foreign bodies along the Colentina River and its related lakes), which led to heavy deposits and the abundant growth of aquatic vegetation on the slopes, becoming a possible source of infection. The waste (bank, silt, etc.) from the dredging/unclogging of the RauColentina is among the objectives recognized as some of the biggest generators of impact and risk for the environment and public health: air pollution, deterioration of environmental quality and visual discomfort, water table pollution, surface water pollution in the case of storagewaste areas near rivers (on their banks), changes in soil fertility. The amount of waste (bank, silt, etc.) resulting from dredging/unclogging estimated to be loaded, transported and evacuated is approximately 20, 000 tons. The material is to be loaded into the vehicleicules and transported outside the area.

These activities are necessary due to the very large volume of waste (silt, sludge, etc.) extracted from the lake, which requires evacuation and storage. The dredging/unclogging operations are carried out based on the protocol concluded between Sector 2 of the Municipality...
